Applications
The Applications for JEE Mains starts from 28th October 2024 – 22nd November 2024, until 9:00 PM.
The deadline for fee payment is set for November 22, 2024.
Exam Sessions
The First Session will be held between 22 January 2025 and 31 January 2025. The Second Session will be held between 1st April 2025 and 8st April 2025.
These sessions will be held in 2 shifts – morning and evening.
Admit Card and Announcement of Exam Center –
The admit card for JEE Mains 2025 will be released 3 days before the exam and the announcement of the examination centre will be given by the first week of January 2025.
Exam Structure
JEE Mains consists of 3 papers – Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech students, Paper 2A for B.Arch and Paper 2B for B.Planning Students. It will be conducted in 13 different languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odisha, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Paper 1
Paper 1 is for B.E/B.Tech and it consists of 3 subjects – Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Students will be given 3 hours of time (4 hours if a student has an eligible PwD Certificate). This will be a computer- based examination.

New Updates
The NTA has updated the marking scheme for the year 2025. For each correct answer, students will be given 4 marks. There is negative marking for the wrong answers, making it a -1 for each wrong answer. There will be no change in marking if the question is left unanswered.
There has also been a change in the number of compulsory and optional questions for the year 2025. It is as follows –
